BIO Dr.  Hairston-Green has developed, managed and marketed several leadership programs for teens and parents targeting at risk youth and disempowered families in the South Central Pennsylvania region. She also served as an Adolescent Health Educator and Prevention specialist for 15 years at various nonprofit organizations. In her roles she was sought after to speak and facilitate workshops at state, local and national level conferences on topics that include;   leadership development, gender and generational diversity, change management, and team building in the workplace, advocacy, and various topics regarding teen health including nutrition and childhood obesity.

Her passion for children and family inspired her to successfully campaign for a seat on the Harrisburg City School District Elected school board (in Pennsylvania) where her peers elected her as the Vice President. She served four years in this capacity while representing the district as a board member with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, as well as the Pennsylvania Coalition to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and other committees within the community.

Dr. Hairston Green  has a PhD in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University, a Masters Degree in Community Psychology and Social Change and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University.
